Job Description
This multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to hire a Chartered Building Surveyor at either Intermediate or Senior level within their Manchester office. This organisation has a strong presence in the Northeast with offices in Manchester, Liverpool and Preston. With Building Surveying being their main service line, they do also offer Quantity Surveying and CDM services too.
They work across most sectors across the built environment with examples being residential, commercial, education, public sector, healthcare and industrial.
Duties:
The position will consist of technical and project work; duties will consist of the following:
Dilapidations
Technical Due Diligence
Building Reinstatement Cost Assessments
Party Wall
Planned Preventive Maintenance
Procurement
Contract Administration
Project Management
Being a broad role, it is expected that candidates may not have touched upon some of the duties listed above but the main areas they’re focussing on is Dilapidations and the project work (procurement, contract administration and project management).
Requirements
Required
Must be chartered with a mix of both professional services and project management experience.
Position is based in Manchester, hybrid working but requirement to be in the office on a Monday and Friday.
Experience in a similar role.
Full driving license and own vehicle required
Desirable
Ideally with Business Development experience
Experience of supporting graduate Building Surveyors
Experience of residential/supported living refurbishment projects
