Clients tend to be reputable corporate organisations made up of drug manufacturers, insurance companies, private development companies, healthcare providers and educations providers.

They work across various sectors such as life science, commercial, residential, healthcare & education. Examples of current projects out of the Cambridge office range from £6m to £70m.
Technology
They are at the forefront of technology systems to encompass day to day programmes and record project data to be used on future projects. They have won awards for their innovation.

They have a great working culture, whilst being a very professional outfit, they are personable too. All employees attend a monthly team meeting which follows with social activities. They also arrange an annual company conference for all employees which usually lasts for 2-3 days, in recent years this has been held in France and Wales.
Job Description
This client facing consultancy are looking to appoint an MRICS QS to join their Cambridge office. Their Cambridge office was opened last summer due to planned growth outside of their original London office which consists of circa 90 people. They have a number of substantial live projects across East Anglia and surrounding areas with lots more projects starting later this year. Their Cambridge office is made up of three Partners and an Associate, so you’ll be working alongside some real experienced Surveyors who will mentor you to further your career.
Being one of the original employees in Cambridge, you’ll progress quickly as the office grows over the coming years.
Responsibilities:
Preparing feasibilities and cost plans
Procurement of client’s professional team and appointments
Preparation of tender packs
Tender review and providing recommendations on appointment of main contractors
Preparation of main contract (usually JCT)
Contract administration throughout project
Chairing client meetings
Settling disputes as and when they arise
Project reporting
Settling final accounts
Stakeholder management
Requirements
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
MRICS qualified
Experience across the built environment
Knowledge of various forms of JCT contracts
A strong desire to progress quickly
Prior client facing experience
