Job Description

This independent Project & Development Consultancy are looking to appoint an Intermediate level Project Manager. The successful candidate will be exposed to some impressive projects within the residential sector (PBSA, BTR, Co-Living & residential). Projects range from £50-150m+ (200-800 units) across the UK, however, this role will focus on projects in and around London.

Duties:


Delivery:


  • Assist with gaining a detailed understanding of the clients brief and advise on suitable procurement routes.

  • Procure and appoint external consultants including the preparation of Collateral Warranties.

  • Evaluate potential risks and advise of mitigation procedures.

  • Provide full Project Management & Employers Agent services which include contract administration (JCT).

  • Prepare tender packs, issue and evaluate returns and provide recommendations to the client.

  • Chair design meetings and progress meetings and prepare and issue meeting minutes to action.

  • Prepare and issue interim progress reports to all stakeholders.

  • Assist in team coordination, task organisation, and prioritisation.

  • Facilitate team management through scheduling and progress tracking.

  • Support skill development with resources and guidance.



Outside the delivery of projects:


  • Be aware of Pareto’s clients and support in the management of client accounts effectively.

  • Work with internal teams to help secure business.

  • Build and record a network of external relationships.

  • Understand Pareto’s business and represent this to clients and business contacts.

  • Support business change implementation under senior guidance.

  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders.

  • Promote a positive team culture and motivation.

  • Be aware of anticipated resource levels on projects on which you are working. Review from time to time with the project senior or when circumstances change.

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of Pareto service lines and client businesses to enable personal performance improvement and career development.

  • Contribute to the improvement of existing Pareto service lines and sector-specific offerings, to continuously improve business performance.

  • Act as ambassador for Pareto - external/ internal advisory boards, committees, public presentations, recognition as high calibre leaders, mentoring schemes.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in an appropriate subject or working toward such a qualification or equivalent allowing access to a suitable training programme with RICS, APM, CIOB etc.

  • Keen to take responsibility for tasks and services you fulfil for colleagues internally and to clients externally.

  • Be aware of Pareto best practice procedures.

  • Develop service delivery qualities, consider your performance from the external perspective and strive to continuously improve.

  • Have a real desire to further your career and subsequently help with business growth.
