Job Description
You will play a key part in a highly rewarding commercial building surveying team providing high calibre professional fire/building safety and building surveying advice to clients and leading on the development of the service line. You will support delivery and growth of services across the business, particularly fire and building services, forging relationships with both internal and external clients to deliver market leading advice.
Objective of the Role:
To work in developing the expansion of the fire & building safety advice for this multi disciplinary consultancy delivering existing instructions in the region, as well as developing new business, and bringing a profile of technical strength and commercial excellence, to complement that established by this organisation across the UK.
Work with the service line lead in progressing and delivering the business plan for the fire & building safety, which will be delivered in conjunction with existing colleagues across the organisation.
Work with the service line lead and the building surveying team to deliver quality building consultancy services to existing and new clients. Building surveying services include Technical Due Diligence, Project Management, Contract Administration, Dilapidations, Project Monitoring and others for UK and European funds, property companies, developers and commercial property occupiers and owners.
Liaise with the service line leaders across Built Asset, Development and Engineering & Sustainability to align services with strategy goals and performance standards, particularly around fire and building safety.
Business development and marketing: Liaise with the service line lead and wider company teams, and the marketing and communications team to support profile raising, commercial connection and work winning in the region.
Network effectively with existing commercial clients and agreed targets.
Financial: Proven success in ability to track, meet and exceed fee targets.
Liaise with the service line lead and team on evolving needs regarding premises, PI, Health & Safety and legal matters.
Requirements
Key Accountabilities:
Primarily working within the commercial sector, undertaking all round building surveying and project work including:
Fire & building surveying
Technical Due Diligence
Refurbishment and redevelopment projects
Contract administration
Pre-acquisition surveys
PPM
General building surveying commercial work
Performance:
Provide advice to clients and colleague on fire and building safety
Deliver fire & building safety to clients
Writing technical and commercial reports
Hands-on high-quality delivery of technical services, demonstrating expertise across core services.
